History

Acoustic Research Group (ARG) was founded in 1999 at the Laboratory of Remote Sensing. Then ARG worked at Siberian Climate and Ecological Observatory. The staff is 8 persons: 5 researchers and 3 engineers. Among them 1 Doctor of Sciences,  2 Candidates of Sciences and 3 post-graduate students.

Fields of research

• Investigation of physical regularities of sound wave propagation in the atmosphere and possibilities of real-time forecast of their characteristics aimed at monitoring of atmospheric phenomena, noises, etc.;

• Development of acoustic methods, instrumentation and techniques to monitor atmospheric boundary layer;

• Investigation of state and dynamics of atmospheric boundary layer changes under impact of natural and antropogenic factors.
